One of the coolest new plants come become available in a long time. This gorgeous plant is endemic to the lowland forests around the vicinity of Timika, Papua Province, Indonesian New Guinea. Only very recently described in 2017, S. jiewhoei looks so much like Anthurium veitchii, that it requires a double take when walking through the shadehouses. The first photo is a more mature plant and the second photo is the size plant offered for sale. They are about 6″ tall with leaves about 4″ long.
